Some industrious running from Suk-Young down the left to get forward and offer support in attack this first half. He will have to keep the work rate up though to ensure he doesn't get caught out as Middlesbrough continue to attack down his side as we head towards the half and hour mark.
Goal: Middlesbrough have taken the lead through George Friend and it has to be said it was some pretty horrendous defending from QPR. He was able to turn two QPR defenders before getting his shot away from close range. Green nearly kept it out but it had too much power behind the shot. 1-0 to the hosts after 18 minutes.
Middlesbrough seem to be doing most of their attacking play down the right hand side looking to get at the inexperienced pairing of Benayoun and Suk-Young. Both standing up well so far to the questions asked of them.
Approaching ten minutes gone and it is still 0-0 at the Riverside. That early chance from Tom Carroll representing the best opportunity for an opener from either side.
Real high tempo from QPR since the start. The ball has barely been in our half during the opening five minutes.
Robert Green is wearing a rather splendid dark blue/light blue combo this afternoon on his return. Not seen that shirt before but I like it!
Great chance for an opener after a minute from QPR as Barton's shot is parried and Carroll unmarked 10-yards out sees his follow-up turned around for a corner. Great start from the R's.
QPR are to kick-off with Will Keane and Ravel Morrison standing over the ball. As suspected it is a back four right to left of Hughes, Onuoha, Hill, Suk-Young. In midfield it is Benayoun on the right, Carroll and Barton in the middle and Kranjcar on the left. Morrison paying just behind Keane.
The two teams are out on the pitch at the Riverside led by Clint Hill. Kick-off is just moments away. We will bring you a confirmed formation shortly.
Boss Harry Redknapp has made six changes this afternoon at Middlesbrough. Goalkeeper Robert Green returns after recovering from a rib injury whilst Yun Suk-Young replaces the suspended Richard Dunne. That will see Aaron Hughes at right-back with Onuoha and Hill at centre-back and South Korean Yun at left-back. Meanwhile, Kranjcar, Benayoun and Carroll come into midfield with Benayoun expected to start on the left-hand side. Will Keane is favoured over Bobby Zamora in attack.
QPR stopper Robert Green should return from injury this afternoon at Middlesbrough. Can he keep his 18th clean sheet of the season?
