BARTON GATECRASHES AUSTIN'S HANGOUT
Watch what happens when midfielder Joey Barton gatecrashes Charlie Austin's Google Hangout earlier today.
Benayoun has just been sent off for a second bookable offence after giving away a foul outside the area. He receives a standing applause from the crowd. QPR will have to play the final moments with 10 men.
Four minutes of additional time the fourth official signals.
Change coming up for QPR as Joey Barton is replaced by Karl Henry. Barton has picked up a couple of knocks tonight so probably precautionary.
Ivan Ramis can count himself very lucky to still be on the pitch. Benayoun kicked the ball away at a free-kick and Ramis swung a leg out at Benayoun making contact. Yossi received a yellow card for his misdemeanor whilst Ramis received nothing from referee Simon Hooper.
WOW! What a great free-kick from Ravel Morrison that has just rattled the crossbar 10 minutes from time. The ball bounced down and nearly crossed the line as Zamora followed up and was unable to turn it in.
Clint Hill having a very good game tonight. Just made an excellent last ditch tackle to prevent a goal scoring opportunity. Little tactical change has seen Benayoun move inside and Morrison out onto the wing.
After weathering the storm QPR have enjoyed a better spell of possession in the last five minutes. Been unable to make it count so far however.
Wigan hit the bar from a corner moments ago. QPR really under pressure right now and have not looked solid at the back.
Been a bad start from QPR so far in the second half. Wigan have had two excellent chances to score through McArthur and McClean but Green has been equal both times. Kranjcar was also replaced by O'Neil.
Wigan have had a lot of the ball in the first half but have been restricted to - albeit decent - shots from distance. QPR despite their one goal lead will need to show more attacking threat in the second half if they are to hold onto the lead.
Nice build-up play and hold up from Zamora to bring Kranjcar into a shooting position but his effort from the edge of the area four minutes before the break didn't test Al-Habsi in the Wigan goal.
Been a bit of a scrappy affair since the goal. Both sides been guilty of giving the ball away and Green has been called into action on more than one occasion to keep Wigan at bay. 35 minutes gone, still 1-0 to QPR.
Clint Hill has just done what no defender has ever done before. I am now going to call him Clint Hilldinho. The ball comes across from Carroll on the left to Hill in the six yard area, he lets it run through his legs before flicking it into Benayoun's path who made no mistake from six-yard for his second goal in as many games. 1-0 to QPR.
16 mins: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL! Yossi Benayoun.
12 minutes gone so far and still 0-0. Apart from that early Zamora chance and a rasping free-kick from Josh McEachran flashing wide of Rob Green's far post there's little else to report.
Early chance for QPR following some excellent interplay Morrison feeds in Zamora who is then fouled int he box but the linesman has already flagged for offside. Was a tight call but looking at the replay on the analysis' laptop in front it looks like the correct call.
As suspected this evening QPR line-up 4-4-1-1. Back four right to left is Hughes, Onuoha, Dunne, Hill with the midfield (r-l) Benayoun, Barton, Carroll, Krancjar and Morrison playing just behind Zamora.
QPR MAKE TWO CHANGES
Manager Harry Redknapp has made two changes this evening against Wigan Athletic. The R's boss has recalled defender Richard Dunne to his starting line-up in favour of Yun Suk-Young following his return from suspension. Meanwhile, goalscorer against Middlesbrough Bobby Zamora is favoured in attack over Will Keane. That should see Aaron Hughes at right-back with Clint Hill on the opposite whilst Dunne and Nedum Onuoha form the centre of defence. We will of course bring you a confirmed formation just before kick-off.
